Dear Kristie, Thanks to a recommendation from a friend, I found out about your "fitness oasis" and the water aerobics classes you offer. I have to admit, from the early days of school physical education classes, I have loathed exercise. While my husband has been able to get me to walk a couple of miles at a time, anything called "exercise" was firmly rejected. What a surprise to find myself in a lovely spa facility with beautiful furnishings and a wonderful warm water pool. I was the newest addtition to the group of women taking the class but Kristie immediately made me feel comfortable and was especially encouraging when I wasn't sure what I was supposed to be doing. There is something about doing stretching, jogging and other movements in the water that made it much easier than anything I've tried in the past - water is fluid and that's how you feel as you move through the water - I didn't feel awkward or uncoordinated as I have before. In fact, Kristie commented that she could see the improvement in my overall coordination after just a few sessions. Thanks to Kristie and my experience at High Desert Oasis, I am planning on continuing water aerobics not only for fitness but because it's fun!
